The good news for Sarah is that her spinal fluid tested negative for the bacteria so that is a big relief. She will still be on the antibiotics for a while, but at least we don't have to worry about the meningitis this go around. Sarah is still over 2 pounds (2 lbs, 2 os) and she is tolerating her feedings well. |

Emily has several good reports. Her creatin (sp?) level is back to normal and the ultrasound report of the kidneys, spleen and liver all looked normal. Her head circumference is steady and so there does not appear to be any swelling. Also, Emily was taken off the respirator today! They tried her with just the oxygen bubble, but she wasn't ready for that so they put her on the CPAP unit. The little hat she is wearing helps hold the CPAP unit to her nose. She also is tolerating her feedings well. |
